2017 Florida Traffic Statistics

In 2017, there were approximately 387,000 total crashes in the State of Florida. Of those crashes, approximately 160,000 resulted in personal injuries.  Broward County and Miami-Dade County had the highest amount of crashes.  There were about 40,000 crashes in Broward County and 60,000 crashes in Miami. The most dangerous intersections in Florida were located in: Astor, FL (State Road 40 and State Road 19), Orlando, FL (North Semoran Blvd and Old Cheney Highway), Kissimmee, FL (Vista Del Lago Blvd. and Route 192) and Hialeah Gardens, FL (Hialeah Gardens Blvd. and North Okeechobee Rd).   The causes of these accidents include: poor weather and driving conditions, a high amount of elderly drivers and dui or impaired driving.
